The better the exclusives, the more likely gamers will switch to or purchase a PS5 console.
However, until then, these are the games that currently make up the rankings.
Forspoken
Forspokenwas the first PlayStation exclusive to release in 2023 and that obviously comes with some added pressure.
Particularly in terms of graphics, world-building, and role-playing gameplay.
All in all, many people, including ourselves, expected more fromForspoken.
So you may be questioning why it’s on this list.
Horizon Call of the Mountain
2023 also saw the release of the PlayStation VR2.
Of course, we can’t say no to Aloy in theHorizon Call of the MountainVR spin-off.
It’s a lengthy game for the PlayStation VR2, clocking in at around eight hours.
Nonetheless, the DLC arrived in April of this year and was received with a lot of praise.
One of the main reasons why is that theBurning Shores DLCpicks up right whereHorizon Forbidden West’sstory left off.
It’s about 10 hours long and tells the unheard-of story about Aloy and her new ally Seyka.
It’s surprisingly refreshing while remaining relevant to previous games' events.
And so far this year for PlayStation, that upcoming indie isSeason: A Letter To The Future.
On that note, we expect it to remain on the list until the end of the year.
That exclusive game isFinal Fantasy XVI(16) for PlayStation 5.
And we’re talking about a franchise with a lot of titles.
At the same time, it’s already got its name in the hat for Game of the Year.
So it’s no surprise that it ranks first among the best PlayStation exclusives of 2023 so far.
In fact, we’re confident enough to say it’s the best PlayStation exclusive of 2023.
That is unlessMarvel’s Spider-Man 2has something to say about it.
