It’s finding the perfect balance that’s the hard part, and something must devs tend to miscalculate.
It takes a lot for a game to keep its players engaged from beginning to end without faltering.
And filler content, including lengthy side quests and monologues, isn’t always the answer.
But there was a problem.
Oh, and having a ridiculous amount of grinding involved didn’t exactly help, either.
Even still, a 28.6% average completion rate isn’t much to brag about really.
Or, at least it is for 29.8% of people who have played through it.
It takes sacrifice, and a whole lot of persistence to see it through to its natural conclusion.
