Best Of
Pokemonis a long-running franchise that has dipped its toes into all types of genres.
It’s safe to say thatPokemongames are some of the most popular titles of all time.
Below are five titles that are a great choice for remastering for the Switch.
Of course, TCG gamers were made for handheld systems to let plays enjoy card combat on the go.
This is a bit surprising since the Switch is a portable system just like smartphones.
The screen is also much bigger than a phones, making it much easier to read card abilities.
Many fans already carry their consoles to cons and events, so it would be perfect for on-the-fly duels.
Pokemon Puzzle League
It’s no secret that even in 2022, puzzle games are a hit.
When you throw in aPokemongame that involves puzzles, though, things get even wilder.
It’s actually a wonder that another has never even been made for mobile devices under the same name.
The game could greatly be expanded to add in more regions.
This would make puzzle fans excited, especially if the game was once again a full-scale retail release.
What’s interesting about this title, in particular, is that it used voice controls.
You became the owner of a wild Pikachu seemingly overnight.
It starts sleeping in your house, and you go with it to different areas during the day.
The better you got at commanding Pikachu, the more the game would progress.
Of course, this process was a bit tricky to perform as voice recognition technology wasn’t great.
While the gameplay was unique and fun, Pikachu simply didn’t like to listen.
You had to be incredibly clear with your voice and direct.
Pokemon Gold and Silver
Another game that desperately needs a current-gen update is the famous gamesPokemon GoldandPokemon Silver.
ThesePokemongames are some of the most famous of all times.
In fact, many players were surprised that the Johto region hasn’t made it to 3D yet.
This is especially true sinceLet’s Go PikachuandLet’s Go Eeveewere released featuring the Kanto region.
ThesePokemongames were originally supposed to be the last in the series and feature both Johto and Kanto.
The games also introduced a lot of new features like rechallenging trainers and being able to decorate a space.
In addition, wander legendaries made their first appearance, as did berries.
Currently, Gen I through IV has been remade in some form, with only gen II being excluded.
Pokemon Colesium
Pokemon Colesiumis another unique game that debuted on the Nintendo Gamecube.
It also introduced the concept ofShadow Pokemonto the series.
Something that has since been sprinkled into other games and media.
You go around snagging back Shadow Pokemon from trainers and purifying them.
This would shake up the franchise once again and possibly even allow for a thirdPokemon Colesiumgame to come about.
