Not only in combat, tools help you break into previously inaccessible rooms, too.
They may even help chip away at the enemys armor so you might assassinate them easily.
Torch
Lucky for you, the Torch is easy to get early in your playthrough.
So, you could start to use it from the get-go.
Particularly, you might use it to light up flammable smoke bombs, another tool well see below.
Unfortunately, youll quickly trade the torch for another more valuable tool as you progress.
Thats because its the only tool that doesnt allow you to upgrade.
You may want to study guards patrol patterns and unleash the trap where they converge.
With the upgrades, you’re able to increase the traps lethality.
This will cause a fire explosion thats deadlier.
Upgrades also crank up your ammo capacity as well as increase the knock-out duration.
Youll need to unlock a new slot in your tool wheel through the Trickster skill tree.
Then, fill the slot with a trap from Ibn Musa from the Assassin Bureau.
it’s possible for you to use the blowdart to incapacitate enemies from a mile away.
Its the perfect tool to pick off enemies from a mile away, one by one.
Thats because it doesnt cause as big a fuss as throwing knives that easily alert enemies to your presence.
Furthermore, youre free to throw multiple darts toward a group of guards.
Itll mark each one and put them to sleep.
This allows you to move in for the silent assassination afterward.
Or, help thin the herd for an easier takedown of the remaining ones.
When you consider the upgrades, it sweetens the deal a tad bit more.
you’re free to make the blowdarts induce permanent sleep, perfect for clearing non-lethal contracts.
you’re free to also make the darts poisonous or induce a fit of rage on impact.
Similar to Trap, unlock a new slot in the tool wheel through the Trickster skill tree.
Then, get blowdarts from Ibn Musa from the Assassin Bureau.
Smoke Bomb
Smoke bombs can potentially become your go-to tool if you prefer a more up-close-and-personal approach.
This way, you could move in the shadows and take out as many guards as you could.
you could always upgrade its power to allow you to heal while inside its smoke cloud.
Or, make the bombs silent on impact.
Plus, it unleashes a red smoke unique to Mirage and makes the play look pretty cool.
First, unlock a new tool slot through the Tricksters skill tree.
Then, interact with Ibn Musa at any Hidden Ones Assassins Bureau to get smoke bombs.
However, youll want to use the noisemaker carefully.
Perhaps find a kill spot to lure multiple guards, too, then unleash the smoke bomb.
Or leading guards away from your escape route.
Alternatively, upgrades can induce fear, causing guards to run away.
It can take out two guards at the same time.
Or cause an explosion when thrown into oil jars.
you might even use them to dispatch crates hanging over a group of guards.
Moreover, it’s possible for you to upgrade throwing knives so that youre free to recover used ones.
My favorite: upgrades can allow you to disintegrate dead bodies, leaving no trace of your presence behind.
