Gameplay
Avoweds gameplay will feature three main gameplay elements.
Youll spend your time in the game exploring the strange and charming world around you.
Living Lands will don both fantasy elements and intrinsic features that call out to your character for help.
The island will have varied biomes and regions to explore.
Itll have varying environments and landscapes, each with a unique ecosystem.
ButAvowedwill also pose a danger to you.
To attack and defend yourself, youll tap into wide-ranging spells.
Some spells freeze enemies in their place, giving you time to take on stronger enemies.
you’re able to also burn enemies with fire-based spells.
Alongside spells will be guns and swords to help fight off enemies.
Swords will have a shield you could use to bash enemies heads in.
But youll also have a bow and arrow, perfect for taking out enemies from afar.
Lastly,Avowedplans to craft companions to keep you company on your journey.
They will hail from different species and fight alongside you.
Each companion will have unique abilities, from a mercenary to a wizard and many more.
The choices you make inAvowedwill determine how companions behave, while also helping them complete their missions.
Development
Developer Obsidian Entertainment and publisher Xbox Game Studios are currently working onAvowed.
Theyve been developing games for more than a decade while scooping up several nominations and awards over the years.
We first got wind ofAvoweds development in 2020.
Since then, Obsidian has worked tirelessly on bringing the exciting, dual-wielding, magic-infused romp to life.
