A workaround is available, but a patch is still in development and expected in a future release.

Microsoft has issued a warning to IT administrators regarding a critical issue affecting Windows Server 2025 domain controllers.

The problem shows up when these servers, which host the Active Directory domain controller role, are restarted.

This can also allow unauthorized access to certain ports and protocols that would normally be blocked.

The company recommends that administrators restart the web connection adapter manually each time the server is rebooted.
