So, shall we see what it’s possible for you to look forward to in the new release?
Heres everything we know aboutDead Rising Deluxe Remasterso far.
What is Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster?
Dead Rising Deluxe Remasteris a ground-up remake of the original Xbox 360Dead Risingthat was released in 2006.
Nearly 20 years later, Capcom wants to reimagine the survival comedy-horror game for next-gen consoles.
Its also the same proprietary engine that will build the upcomingMonster Hunter Wilds.
Story
Dead Rising Deluxe Remasterplans to remain as faithful to the original games storyline as possible.
So, veterans will be familiar with the fictional photojournalist Frank Wests unforgettable journey at the mall.
Hes sent to the Willamette shopping mall in Colorado to investigate a strange catastrophe.
On arrival, he finds the undead rampant in the stores, wreaking all manner of havoc.
The shopping mall setting of the game hasnt changed much.
The same goes for the characters who primarily remain the same.
Youll even run into the human big bosses wholl simply go by the psychopaths.
So, youre forced to use your fists to fight off the undead.
But you might also pick up anything to use as melee weapons.
Anything goes, from frying pans to trash cans to craftable weapons.
The more you play, the more youll unlock new weapons, including a handy chainsaw.
Like the story, Capcom plans to remain as faithful to the originals combat as possible.
They plan to retain the same quirky but fun gameplay, complete with the cartoony feel of the game.
Perhaps the most significant change is the addition of an auto-save feature.
Now, you wont have to worry about losing the progress you have made.
Additionally, Frank West will now be able to move while aiming.
Finally,Dead Rising Deluxe Remasterwill overhaul the outdated visuals of the original.
Capcom is aiming for a 4K 60fps calibre using RE Engines capabilities.
Development
The development ofDead Rising Deluxe Remasteris in full swing at Capcom.
The pressure is probably pretty high after the disappointing launch ofDead Rising 4(2016).
It seems Capcom is going back to the drawing board, remaking the original game that pleased the masses.
So, were pretty sure the upcoming game is in the best hands.
Trailer
Check out some of the old versus new graphics in theDead Rising Deluxe Remasterannouncement trailer.
The trailer was just released at the Capcom Next: Summer 2024 event.
While Frank Wests hairline has been unjustly cut back, the visuals and gameplay look pleasantly fun.
