Francois:I am Francois, the designer at the studio.
Ive always liked to create things with different media (writing, video, games, etc.).
Jonathan and I are longtime friends from high school.
He followed a technical path studying programming, and I studied interactive media in its creative aspect.
We worked together for 3 years to achieve a master’s research-creation.
You experience a dark fairytale.
As a fly, you eat forgotten moments, then everything turns to chaos.
Many narrative elements are inspired by memories from my childhoodold tapes, strange drawings, and forgotten toys.
The development length definitely influenced the game in some way.
Over time, the game inspirations got wider and allowed for different tones to coexist.
Theres a lot of humor.
We developed that concept in both our games.
InThe Repairing Mantis, we let players control the thoughts of the characters.
WithThe Hungry Fly, weve taken that idea even further.
Gameplay blends exploration, puzzle-solving, and symbolic storytelling.
Youll have to make narrative decisions in surreal situations where being kind is not always an option.
It will give you more info on the world and whats your role in it.
Discovering different endings will help you to better understand the story.
Francois:We have multiple ideas already in stock plus other ones that are coming up to us.
In the next months, we are going to evaluate those ideas and prototypes.
We love listening to your stories!
Thanks for your time and keep trying new and weird indie games!
