The Game Awards 2023had plenty of surprises in store for us.
Thanks to a couple of big reveals, we now have more brand-new games to look forward to.
Some of Hideo Kojimas works includeMetal Gear SolidandDeath Stranding, all epic works in their own right.
Jordan Peele, on the other hand, dabbles more in big-screen productions, having directed the popularGet OutandNope.
What is OD?
Its no secret that both Kojima and Peele like to push the limits of standard genre practice.
Apparently, its going to be something unlike much elseit’s going to be crazy.
It is hard to argue with that.
Its confusing at best, yet also intriguing.
Just as the games name sounds strange, so does the story, which hopefully becomes clearer with time.
Gameplay
ODhas to be the most perplexing game were holding out for.
Its also called Overdose, and seems to capitalize on fear.
So, were presuming itll be a horror game designed for screamers as indicated by the trailer.
Still, Kojima goes on to express further thatODwill be unique and immersive.
Itll be a new form of medianot just a horror game but also a movie.
Kojima says that hes aiming to create something we havent seen before.
The partnership aims to bringODto the cloud via Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Itll bring along iconic designer Hideo Kojima as well as Oscar-winning film director Jordan Peele.
Both have worked on showstopping media that dare push the boundaries of their respective genres.
Combined, its exciting to see what they have in store for us.
But Peele happens to be one of several talented storytellers involved in the project.
However, Kojima left Konami in 2015, and theSilent Hillproject shut down.
Now, perhaps Kojima is planning to carry forward some of his vision forSilent HilltoOD.
We see three of the starring main actors reading out loud a creepy tongue twister.

We do have a rough idea of the platforms we can expectODto launch on.
Other platforms remain anybodys guess for now.
