Apple M2 SoC will debut in the first half of 2022 alongside the colorful MacBook Air.
The new MacBook Air is expected to feature with include enhanced performance, colors, and design.
The company is also expected to be working on a low-end MacBook Pro and an all-new Mac Pro.
The next-gen chipset is codenamed Staten and is stated to have the same number of cores as M1.
However, Staten is said to have faster computing cores compared to the M1.
The M1X will be supported by TSMCs N5P process.
A refined version of the 5 nm node, is being used for the current M1.
The chip may have a similar core architecture as the M1, namely Firestorm and Icestorm cores.
While Apple M2 will have fewer CPU cores contrary to the M1X.
Apart from leaks and speculations, not much is known about the upcoming MacBook Air.
