The main reason being the stability, bad successors Windows 8 and 8.1, and the user-friendly UI.
EOL means that the users will be missing out on important security updates.
To avoid any significant future outbreaks, Microsoft is encouraging users to upgrade immediately.
However, WIndows 10X, designed for foldable devices, will be releasing later this year.
