YouTube launched its Shorts feature in September of last year.
To encourage more people to create for the platform, YouTube has set up a $100 million fund.
YouTube will pay creators up to $10,000 per month for making popular videos on its YouTube Shorts.
The payment will start this August and YouTube will reach out to eligible creators.
YouTube said that creators can earn anywhere from $100 to $10,000 approximately but the payouts arent guaranteed.
YouTube will ask content creators to claim a bonus payment on their YouTube channel.
So, in case a creator doesnt qualify a month., they may qualify the next month.
In addition, YouTube wouldnt require creators to use Shorts to boost their overall engagement on the platform.
So, original and self-made content will be truly rewarded.
YouTube says it plans on expanding that list in the future.
